OPEN Friday to Sunday 10a - 7p

Kitchen Linens Class - Beginner friendly

In this class you will learn how to turn a hem and sew a straight stitch using your sewing machine (or reserve one with the shop). You will also learn how to rip seams and, using twill tape, make a handy hang tab on your kitchen towels.

You will make four dinner napkins, and two tea/kitchen towels.

Supplies (All are available at Humble Stitch. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions):

  • Sewing machine (It’s ok if you aren’t sure how to use it! That’s what this class is for!)
  • Coordinating thread
  • 4 yards of toweling
  • ⅓ yard twill tape
  • Hot Hemmer
  • Cutting mat at least 16” x 24”
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting ruler at least 18” long
  • Pins
  • Seam ripper
  • Air eraseable marking pen
  • Blind-hem foot/edge stitch foot (not required but recommended). If you need one for your machine, you may contact me ahead of time and I will order one to the shop for you.
