Simple Zippered Bag (Large size) October 12th

Are you always looking for a pouch to store your current work in progress in? Join us as we make this simple zippered bag that will fit all of your project’s materials, complete with a handle for easy transporting! Once you have made one you will be able to ZIP through making as many as your heart desires at home! Barbara will share tips on how to expand upon this pattern to make various size bags. The finished size of this project is 12x16.

Included: Pattern, fabric, batting, fusible fleece, zipper to make (1) bag

Skill Level: Must know proficient in operating a sewing machine, yours or ours. Sew a basic straight stitch, sew on a straight line and be able to sew an accurate 1/4in seam. Adjust stitch length on your machine.

Sewing Machine (Bring your own or reserve ours)
1/4" Quilting foot for your machine
Open toe foot for your machine
Quilting guide for your machine
White or cream thread 
Rotary cutter 
Quilting ruler (12-18 inches)
Pins or binding clips
Small cutting mat 
Scissors

Note: You have the option to bring your own sewing machine or reserve one of ours. Thanks to our partnership with Hoover's Bernina Sew, we have Bernina 435 or 475, for classroom use. If you would like to reserve one of our machines, please let us know prior to the day of class.
