Sock Class w/ Tammy! - Rye Socks by Tin Can Knits
These cozy socks will be with Juniper Moon Santa Cruz yarn or comparable #4 worsted weight yarn. We will be making these boot type socks so we can learn the sock making technique. This is a (3) part class with class #2 on October 25th 6:30-8:30, and class #3 on November 8th 5:30-7:30.
Materials are separate from the cost of the class. You are welcome to bring needles and notions from home if you already have them. If you need to purchase class supplies, we kindly ask that you consider Humble Stitch as a source. It is our experience that people learn faster and have a more enjoyable time when they use quality tools and materials. However, this is not required.
Required Materials
Yarn: Worsted weight #4
Adult size small (7.25 inch foot circumference) 220 yards worsted weight yarn
Adult Medium (8 inch foot circumference) 280 yards worsted weight yarn
Adult Large (8.75 inch foot circumference) 340 yards worsted weight yarn
Needles: Size US 3 DP and US 5 DP needles
Notions: Stitch markers, small scissors, needle point protectors (8), darning needle.
Notes:
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to class if you will need to purchase supplies or have yarn wound that evening.
Yarn should be wound and ready for use by the time class begins.
