Beginning Quilter Workshop with Marie - November 16th

This class is for anyone who has always wanted to try quilting but is overwhelmed or doesn’t know where to start.  We will cover quilting tools, terms, and basic techniques. Everything will be thoroughly explained as we go through each step together. We will press our fabric, learn to accurately cut fabric with a quilting ruler and rotary cutter. We will sew a 9 patch block as we discuss proper seam allowance and pressing techniques. We will add a border to our little quilt top, layer it with batting and backing, and do some straight line quilting. Finally we will create binding strips and sew them on to finish our project! Your finished project will be 19.5 x 19.5 mini quilt that you can be used as a wall hanging, table topper, or whatever you choose.
Note: Project in pic is a sample. Kit fabric colors may vary. Objects in photo are for size reference only and not included in kit.

Lunch: We will take a break from 12-1 for lunch. You can bring your lunch (we have a full size refrigerator) or plan to grab a bite locally.
